The Power Ethernet Sockets (Powerline Sockets) are the only HomePlug Powerline compatible products in the market that embed all the electronics inside a standard wall power socket. The technology inside the Powerline Sockets allows the use of the existing mains cables as a way to transmit high speed data and connect your broadband router to share internet access around your home or office throughout the building without the cost and disruption of installing additional cabling. The PE Socket incorporates a 4-port, high speed managed Ethernet switch that eliminates the need for adding additional network switches. This removes the clutter and hassle of additional cables under desks or behind televisions. Embedded within the PE Socket is an integrated mains filter in order to minimise the effect of any electrical noise on the circuit and therefore delivery the maximum available bandwidth. The powerline network has a maximum throughput of 200Mbps (gross) which is usually fast enough to smoothly stream full-HD video, online gaming, file downloading and internet access depending on the quality of your mains wiring. Install two or more compatible Powerline devices to create a Powerline network and they will communicate with each other through the mains power cabling. Extend the powerline network by adding new Powerline Sockets or plug-in homeplug adapters as and when needed, up to a maximum of 64 devices, and simply connect your computer, smart TVs and other kit via Ethernet cable. Power Ethernet devices can also be centrally managed via the Power Ethernet Management Software (PEMS) provided The Power Ethernet socket complies to the relevant BSI and CE standards for electrical outlets, fits a standard two-gang 35mm deep back box and easy for any qualified electrician to install.
